Ana Azevedo is a Portuguese visual artist born in the city of Porto, Portugal, in 1982.  She finished her degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, in the year 2005.

During her graduation years she first started making doodles on notepads and jotters.
A doodle is, by definition, “a mindless sketch, an aimless drawing, while a person's attention is otherwise occupied (Wikipedia)”. “A figure, design, or scribble drawn or written absent-mindedly (TheFreeDictionary.com)”.
Then she pasted them with the same state of mind but carefully establishing links among the drawings using paint.
Each canvas is composed by small stories, personal thoughts or short sentences most of the time arranged or codified intentionally.
The results revealed the same characteristics of a woman's diary book with intimate, personal and private moments.

Currently she is living and working in Macao, a special administrative region under Chinese sovereignty, formerly administered by the Portuguese.
