Ana SERROTE VIZCAINO, Spanish artist, was born on March 21st, 1965 in La Codosera, about 20 km of Badajoz in the region of Extremadure.

This region of Spain situated east of Portugal is a region, as its name lets it suppose, or the winters and summers are sometimes rough.

Ana was brought up by her mother, also named Ana, further to her divorce, in a difficult period for Spain, turned then to her growth.

Ana retied the contact with her father towards the end of her life. What allowed her to try to know a little more life of her father who had a historytourmented because of the alcohol, but what allowed her to discover their common love of the freedom and the righteousness.

Ana, married first time in 18 years, also raised only one of her two daughters, the other one having been raised by her ex-husband. This last one capable of violence with regard to her, to tame her, succeeded that has to separate her from the second girl during fifteen long years, what for a mother is a real grief, in party repaired by two years crossed together in Barcelona.

Of formation physiotherapist, Ana practised at first the paint before turning to the sculpture.

She exposed a lot, in Spain naturally, in France also, in the beautiful city of Lyon.

Tireless worker, her tries and improves her working technique of metal cloths to realize her sculptures.

Her natural curiosity orders her to look for permanently new materials for its expression.

Ana Serrote lives in Lyon since february 2008.
